RangeMaker® Attachment
For Limited Knee & Hip Movement Problems

1) Detach Pedals: Using a 19/32" open box wrench (not included with parts), remove the R pedal in a Counter-Clockwise direction. The L pedal is removed using a Clockwise direction.

Best suited for round and oval crank arms 3/4" to 1-1/4". Not applicable yet for large crank arms over 1-1/4".

2) Attach brackets: Attach the two clamps over crank arm using the two socket cap screws, with the allen wrench provided. The brackets should fit firmly, but allowed to slide up and down on the crank arm.

3) Attach pedal: Attach 9/16" pedals. (1/2" pedal threads will not work.) The R pedal is screwed into the front bracket with a Clockwise direction, and the L pedal is installed using a Counter-Clockwise direction. Place small washer in bracket before screwing in bracket. (See photo below)

4) To Put the RangeMaker in position: The position of the RangeMaker brackets is dependent on your knee range of motion. A shorter setting (1-3 in radius) indicates very little range of motion. Moderate knee ROM would be using a setting of 3-5 in radius. The normal ROM setting is 6.75 in radius.

5) Adjust seat height: After the brackets have been positioned, adjust the seat height so that when the pedal is in the 6 o'clock position, the knee is perfectly straight. If the bracket is re-adjusted to a new pedal radius, then the seat height must also be re-adjusted again.
